Rafting Near Yosemite

Visiting Yosemite and Want To Go Rafting?

Yosemite National Park is one of the most-visited National Parks in the nation, and for good reason. The Yosemite Valley boasts some of the most iconic views and adventures the great outdoors has to offer.

The best time to visit Yosemite National Park is May - October, which perfectly coincides with the best time to book a rafting trip with River Runners! Before or after your Yosemite trip, add a two-day camping and rafting trip on the South Fork of the American River onto your family road trip.

Just a 3-hour drive from Yosemite lands you in the gorgeous Coloma-Lotus Valley and at River Runners for a peaceful getaway at our lush campsite with catered camping and guided class II-III rafting suitable for the whole family. We recommend a 2-day camping and rafting trip for the best that the South Fork American River has to offer.

Rafting trips on the South Fork of the American River are offered from April through October. Water flows in the South Fork American River result from scheduled releases from hydroelectric facilities located upstream, ensuring that we’re always able to raft, even during drought years.

If you’re headed to or from Southern California, the Kaweah river is located less than 3 hours from Yosemite and in the direct path of Sequoia National Park, making it the perfect addition to your National Parks tour of California. River Runners offers an adrenaline-packed class IV whitewater rafting trip on the Kaweah River suitable for ages 14 and up.

Departing from the Three Rivers Hideaway campground in the quaint riverside town of Three Rivers, this trip is an unforgettable experience. Camp at the Hideaway and sleep under the stars before gearing up for the adventure of a lifetime on the Kaweah with River Runners.

South Fork Two-Day Trip

We set up your tents and cook for you. Wander around Camp Lotus and chill by the river. Pick some blackberries or enjoy a drink.  Experience both the Gorge and the Chili Bar sections of the river. Appropriate for most ages and adventure levels.
