River Runners Policies

Reservation Policy

 

River Runners offers premium rafting experiences. You are booking an event that is customized to your group's needs. It requires an incredible amount of work to get ready for your day on the river. Preparation prior to your arrival is 90% of the river rafting trip you participate in. When everything is prepared well, your trip runs smoothly and often exceeds expectations. This commitment to excellence informs the following reservation policy:

 

CHOOSE A TRIP DATE: Many dates sell out. Please ensure that your preferred trip date is available prior to planning. To confirm availability, please check our online calendars or contact us.

SCHEDULING: Payment equals reservation. As many trip dates have limited space, we cannot guarantee a reservation simply by written or verbal commitment. Once you have paid a deposit or full price for each scheduled participant, the space will be held for them.

DEPOSITS: River Runners accepts deposits up to 30 days before a trip. All deposits are non-refundable. A deposit must be made for every member of your party at the time of reservation if you want us to hold space for them. Deposits cannot be applied to the balance due for other members of your party. Essentially, the deposits ensure that we hold space for you on your selected trip date.

DEPOSIT AMOUNT: To hold space for your group, we require a deposit of $60 per person per day of the river trip. Here are some examples:

  • If you are booking a Gorge Full Day trip for six people, a deposit of $360 is due at the time of reservation.
  • If you are booking a Two Day rafting and camping package for five people, a deposit of $600 is due at the time of reservation.

FULL PAYMENT: We encourage you to pay in full at the time of reservation. If you have made a deposit, your balance is due 29 days before the start of your trip. If you are making a reservation less than 30 days before your trip, full payment is due upon scheduling the trip. Please contact us to pay the balance due. If you do not contact us, we will send you an notification. If full payment is not made 29 days before your trip, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation without issuing any trip credit.

RESERVATION CONFIRMATION: Once you have paid a deposit or the balance for your trip, River Runners will send you an email confirmation within 24 hours of the payment being made. This confirmation will include the details of your trip. Please retain this email for your records and to guide you in completing your trip.

Cancellation Policy

When you book a trip with River Runners, we are making a commitment to provide you with a safe and high-quality whitewater experience. River Runners will only cancel or reschedule your trip if we believe river conditions are unsafe, or conditions outside of our control disallow us from running the trip. If we cancel your trip for any reason, we will offer you rescheduling options or offer you a full refund.

Because space on a rafting trip is limited, booking a rafting trip requires commitment from you too. Once you reserve a date we begin to exclude other River Runners guests from booking on that date and we put the wheels in motion to make your adventure happen. This practice informs the following cancellation policy:

 

NOTIFICATION: Please notify us via phone call, text or email as you soon as you want to cancel your trip.

REFUNDS: We do not issue cash refunds if you cancel a trip for any reason.

TRIP CREDITS: If you must cancel a trip, you will receive credit for a future rafting trip with River Runners based on the following policy:

  • For cancellations made 30+ days before the trip: 100% trip credit.
  • For cancellations made 0-29 days before the trip: No trip credit.
  • There will be no exceptions made to this policy.

TRANSFER OF TICKET: If a someone in your party wishes to cancel, you may transfer the reservation to another member of your party.

DATE CHANGES: If you wish to change the date of your trip, the cancellation policy will apply.

  • If the date change is 30+ days before your trip, no additional charge will be incurred.
  • If the date change is 0-29 days before your trip, you will receive no credit towards the new trip date.

TRIP INSURANCE: 

  • River Runners does not offer trip insurance. We suggest obtaining travel insurance to protect your trip.
  • Trip insurance can be as low as 5% of your trip cost through a third-party insurance provider.
