The River Runners Menu - A Cut Above The Rest

At River Runners, quality is king – but don’t worry, we don’t skimp on quantity either.

We are excited to offer a variety of healthy, freshly prepared, and delicious options at every meal. We rarely use a microwave and we don't use heating pans. It's fresh!!

There is something for everyone, however, if you have strict dietary needs, please contact us by email, phone, or text, at your earliest convenience to discuss your needs.  Some dietary needs can be accommodated, depending on their extent.

Welcome Breakfast

The first morning of your two-day trip starts bright and early with fresh hot coffee and tea while your guides prepare a delicious breakfast made with fresh, seasonal ingredients.

The menu:

  • Freshly brewed coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, with all the fixings
  • Orange Juice
  • Seasonal fruit
  • Omelettes made to order with real eggs, fresh sauteed veggies, and ham
  • Bacon
  • Toasted bagels
  • Lots of condiments!

Deli Lunch on the Gorge

Our Gorge full-day trip includes a deli spread served by your guides at our lunch site on the river.

The menu:

  • Dave’s Killer Bread and Sacramento Sourdough
  • Hand-carved turkey and deli ham
  • Cheddar, Havarti, and Pepper Jack cheeses
  • Fresh vegetables – Tomatoes, lettuce, onions, avocados (when available), pickles
  • Specialty condiments – Pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, hummus, as well as the classics – mustard and mayo
  • Fresh seasonal fruit
  • A variety of chips
  • Cookies
  • Ice water and lemonade

A Well-Earned Dinner

After a long day of rafting, you’ll probably return to the campsite ravenous, and we’ve got you covered.

The menu:

  • Tri-tip Steak, chicken, and fish
  • Salad bar with all the fixings – fresh vegetables, croutons, olives, feta cheese, nuts and seeds, and a variety of dressings
  • Baked potatoes
  • Oven-roasted zucchini
  • Hot dinner rolls
  • Beer and wine
  • Soda and bubbly water

And for dessert:

  • Fresh-baked brownies and ice cream!

Breakfast Day Two

Your crew is up bright and early preparing for your second day of rafting once again, although you might not be in as much of a rush to bounce out of your cozy bed. Good thing we have an endless supply of coffee!

The menu:

  • Freshly brewed coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, with all the fixings
  • Orange Juice
  • Fresh fruit
  • Pancakes hot off the grill (Made from scratch with unbleached flour, cane sugar, eggs, milk, butter)
  • Scrambled eggs
  • All-beef smoked sausage
  • Whipped cream from scratch (no sugar added)
  • Lots of condiments!

BBQ Lunch

After another day of excitement on the river, you’ll return to the campsite for a hot BBQ lunch to round off an epic trip.

The menu:

  • Quality ⅓ lb hamburgers
  • All-beef hot dogs
  • Plant-based burgers (upon request)
  • Fresh vegetables
  • Condiments
  • Ice-cold watermelon
  • A variety of chips
  • Cookies
  • Ice water and lemonade
